I certainly hope so too!
However, if this batch DOES have the display (or other issues), I wonder if we would have to return it to Hong Kong, or if Kobo USA or Kobo Canada would accept the return/exchange/refund?
(Re: Bright spots: Since the Kobo screen is top-lit ("front lit" rather than backlit), I suspect the bright spots might be dust, just under the plastic.
Or, somebody sneezed?)
I guess we will learn, in just a few more days.
