On another post you gave me an idea, to buy a mini iPad instead of a new e-reader. I fell in love with the mini at Sam's and played with it several times.
Now, I need to compare books on iPad2 and my husband 3 to see if there is a big difference with the retina display, and whether I should wait for the new retina mini.

I haven't seen a Mini up close yet, so I cannot speak for its screen. I had an iPad 1 but the resolution of text was too low for me and I couldn't read on it very long before my eyes gave out. But I'm 55 with non-line bifocals! I got an iPad 3 1-1/2 years ago to replace the iPad 1 and the text is beautiful on it. I do hope they release a Mini with retina this year as it would be so much easier to hold than my big iPad 3.
