I've noticed that with more tv series I need to put my headphones on so I can hear what they're saying. I already had to do this with films, if I don't I have to turn up the volume so much that my sister hears it.

Broadchurch was one of them, as was the second season of Game of Thrones. Luckily there are only a couple of shows I follow that have this problem.

Another volume rant: it seems that lately the volume of tv ads are a lot louder than the tv programs. In the past this was a problem and there were a lot of complaints about it. The last couple of years the volume tv shows/films and ads seemed to have been about the same but it's changing again. Another reason for me not to watch tv much but buy dvd's or watch Netflix.
