One more, almost completely from scratch. I've picked a free ornament, mirrored it, and added the lines as borders. This ornament had very thin lines, and was therefore difficult to work with. Hard to get it to stand out except on a plain background, without resorting to some tricks. The background was created by myself; I didn't have a specific texture in mind. I'll try another one, and then write the tutorial.
Please note that I'm not some sort of expert; I'm just relating what I'm seeing, while experimenting with this stuff.
