considering that 10 year olds spend tons of time on their own computers - and on computers at school - i can't see why the schools can't just download the books and put them on the computers for free. formatting issues? sure. but i see those in cheap classic print books all the time.

this seems like a great way to try and lock schools and kids into a proprietary reading format. there are already libraries with either mobi or pdf books around already, and those can be read without a special reader.
