I too get the free locals in my mail box on a weekly basis. I never read them, but they do come in handy in the winter, for lighting up in the fireplace.
The last time I bought one for the purpose of reading its news contents was maybe eight or nine years ago. The only time I pick one up now is when I'm travelling, to see what's happening culture-wise.
