I've got nothing against advertising per se, but it's the overload of the stuff - the constant solicitation just about everywhere, anywhere, and at every opportunity that we now get that I am absolutely fed up with. I'm afraid I'm a bad consumer
The stuff is wasted on me anyway, because I never remember what brands are being advertised even just a few minutes after seeing an ad. The only exception was a Dunlop "expect the unexpected" ad from some 20 years ago which was completely surreal with music by the Velvet Underground (Venus in furs) - however that didn't make me rush out and buy Dunlops.
