We would love to help you, but you have to provide us with a starting point. Start from the beginning and describe exactly what your problem is, because so far our guessing has not helped.
Additionally as a general rule of thumb various Linux repository versions of calibre are not supported in this forum. If you are installing calibre for the first time then you should
follow the directions here and perform a binary install.

As previously pointed out you can't have the same problem as someone running calibre 0.5.?? from 5 years ago.
