I too bought a BeBook and used the discount - ended up costing about AUD$375 with shipping, which was much better than the cost of the Cybook or the iLiad. But with the new update it can certainly read DRM'd Mobipocket ebooks once you have redownloaded them with the BeBook PID. BeBook shipped my order the same 'day' I ordered it (they are some hours behind Australia as far as time zone) but shipping took 2 weeks - not BeBooks fault, though. The wait was well worth it.
In my quest for an ebook reader I found that the cheapest (and I use that term lightly) place I could find an iLiad that shipped to Australia was
eReader Outfitters (who are US based). For the Cybook I think
Dymocks ended up cheapest, however I stopped researching a few months ago when I found the BeBook for much cheaper and with upcoming Mobipocket support.
