I don't think it's that. I picked up on the Aspergers/autism from quite early on. I can't quite put my finger on why I'm not connecting with it. Maybe the writing style?? But I've read some of her Captain Lacey mysteries and liked them well enough. Maybe I'm just in the wrong frame of mind and should just put it aside for another time. I tend to be a mood reader and maybe I'm just in the wrong mood for it right now.
