For me the improved highlighting of the current cell in the main spreadsheet and the ability to set dates in them to 'undefined' and 'now' with the '-' and '=' keys was a fantastic improvement, as was the support for DOCX conversion. Much more so than Virtual Libraries, Cover Grids, or different database back-ends etc.
All I ask is that I can easily find out what's in a new version, that the version number be within the download file name, that I can see what it is at run time and that its in the properties of the main executable file. Calibre does all of those things in spades, hearts, clubs and diamonds - which is more than can be said for almost all of the other software I use.
