Did you know..the faulty harddrives die within the first 6 months...and then you do not have any problems till the mechanics begin to age.
Last time i was pissed like you, i moved to a new harddrive...and did not have a new backup when it died 2 weeks later...
The drive passed all test till sudden death within 2 hours when it still managed to corrupt half of the partition incl. the partition table.
Ok..7 days old backups do not cost your life...but it is a lot of work.
So, did you save the backup and reorganize your library successfully?
I am curious how to manage such a database problem.
