Apparently, I am the only one who sees a benefit in this upgrade to their site.

I certainly see the benefit. I always download any purchased ebooks to my computer (for backup) as well as my Paperwhite, so it's nice not to have to go looking for the book to download. I don't usually buy Audiobooks, but the button doesn't bother me.
