I am not doubting that this feature may be useful for some people. Just like the twitter/facebook/whatever integration may be useful for some. Or reading suggestions.
The problem is that one is literally swamped with such "Oh, you may like this, or you may want to do that" "proposals". Everywhere, all the time. And if you pay close attention, whoever proposes something
always profits from that in one way or another.
I'm getting more and more allergic to such things, because in 99% of the cases I'm forced to read such "offers", only to answer "NO!!! You do not know better than I what I want. Why don't you just leave me alone?".
PS: Just one example - remember the very first Kindle Paperwhite firmware? There wasn't even an option to disable those "reading suggestions" which occupied
half of home screen, even on Kindles without Special Offers. That was only fixed after massive protests.
