The Note 3's screen is now 5.7" and resolution is full HD or close-- 1080p, up from the Note 2's 720p; ppi is at 386. I think that's higher than many dedicated e-readers.

Besides, it's now got USB3.0 connectivity-- quicker sideloading via USB if your computer/laptop already has USB3.0; 3GB RAM and you'll get either a Snapdragon 800 or Exynos 5 Octa chipset for the CPU, which means it'll run really fast and smooth with the Android Jelly Bean system. Most importantly it's lighter by 15 grams and thinner than the Note 2-- I can see it being friendly to long reading sessions with those two factors.
