Kway teo nam moo is an Asian-style noodle dish that can be made either as soup (nam) with beef, pork, chicken, or seafood. The 'moo' in the name means mine was made with pork. Very, very common all over S.E. Asia and China.
Som tam is a Thai 'salad' dish made with shredded green papaya, tomatoes, Asian eggplant or green beans, peanuts, and various seasonings, usually outrageously spicy. Thais will usually have 10-15 Thai peppers added to theirs. I can eat jalapeno peppers like candy and can't handle more than 4-5 Thai peppers...
We just finished breakfast of
Pad Phet Kang, veggie omelet, Northern Thai sausage, and good tea. The Pad Phet Kang is a mix of green veggies, mostly long beans, a LOT of basil, a little bit of chicken (it could be pork or shrimp if you choose,) cooked in a red coconut curry, just mildly spicy.
