Yeah, I've found nothing compelling yet in the lighted readers to make me give up my K3, but there is no doubt the "improved contrast" only applies when the light is on. The light does make the background look whiter, and without it, the contrast is decidedly worse than my K3. if Andy_T was looking for better contrast with the light off, he was not going to find it!
