OK, thanks for the explanation. I misinterpreted the information that's in the window when you insert a link. It says "If the selected file is an image, it will be inserted as an image." I thought that was referring to images on the web, not images on the computer.

At any rate, it would be nice to be able to insert links for images on the web and have them automatically show up as images in the comments.
