I don't think I have done anything before I connected iLiad to PC this afternoon, and the companion software displayed a windows asking "The internal memory of iLiad is being formatted, do you want to backup your files?"
I chose yes and it backed up some of the files. And I found
(1) the NEWS BOOKS DOCS NOTES folders on iliad were all empty after that.
(2) Looking into my iLiad files directory on the PC, I found in the Backup\NOTES folder many of my notes were NOT backed up, on the contrary, some of my notes were lost; and some of the notes files were in early versions (i created notes files on iliad and started writing, and i kept appending to those notes from time to time). It's like iLiad didn't save those files which I had made changes to. But the weird thing is, before this connection to PC which resulted a format, all the changes were actually saved.
I have studied the PC companion software thoroughly and I didn't find any way that can cause a format of internal memory. And I have tested the backup-- i made some changes to my notes and reconnected iLiad to my PC and disconnect, and I found all files were backed up appropriately.
Anyone has any idea about this (1) format (2) data lost in the backed up files??
