Ok i've tried it and then I've also downloaded the latest update. When i try to convert my book to AZW3 and try to open it with Calibre, Calibre doesn't seem to recognize the file.

It used to say file is not recognized and that I needed to select a program to open it. When i Selected Calibre it would then try to re-import the file and tell me a file is already there. Now when I press the AWZ3 file extension to open the book, it just tries to re-import a file that is already there.

I've attached the screen shots to show you what is happening.

This was suggested as a way to preserve the features i guess of ePUB3, nevertheless, Amazon doesn't support this format for personal documents so I can't keep my highlights and comments. I probably won't be using it in the future.
