This seems really odd to me you can only scroll through books 5 at a time and if you want to search you have to go into the store that seems to me like it would be maddening. I'm coming from a Sony 650 and the Aura is on the list but I'd like to see more user reports first.
They have taken away the slider but replaced it with another function that works maybe not quite as well. When in library mode, on the top right hand side, you will see x of y pages. Touch this and you will be able to enter whatever page number you wish. This takes a couple more steps and is less convenient than the slider. On the other hand, people did use to complain that the slider was inaccurate.
