I've tried a couple of the Barry Eisler John Rain series and there is definitely a similar feel to them. Just finished another of the Reacher books this week though (One Shot) and just about every time I read one I can never put my finger on why, but I just really enjoy them far more than most other books. I think it's probably because they are a comfortable read, you know the kind of thing that is going to happen, but its still interesting to see how he does it. Maybe if I read a few more Eisler books they'll end up the same.
