This is how I often hold my PRS-350. I never fold the cover back.
That is how I held my PRS-350. My T1 with a lighted cover has the same kind of plastic hinge on the lighted cover. I always fold it back because the thin plastic cuts into my hand.

If I get one I will probably surgically remove the front part of the cover.
