I suspect that is not going to help. As near as I can tell, the Aura HD since firmware 2.5.1 is rescanning the contents of the uSD card when it is powered on. The boot time improved with 2.6.1 and shortened further with 2.8.1 but the delay is still very noticeable. The more ebooks on the uSD card, the longer the boot delay.
