Hi,
I just installed Calibre and am fascinated, great program with great possibilities. However I noticed a few things:
1. Bug: eBook viewer sorting with comics. I have several scanned ebooks (jpg files), I simply zip them then and add them to calibre (which is recognizing them as comics). However the eBook viewer displays them computer sorted, instead of a logical sort (1.jpg, 10.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg). There seems to be a setting for sorting in normal calibre "Recognize numbers inside text when sorting (numeric_collation = True)", I think this would be nice to have for eBook viewer, too (although I wonder why it's not enabled by default, are there really cases where someone wants NOT logical sort?).
2. Bug: eBook viewer aspect ratio for images in MOBI books whtn the viewer is maximized. Tested on my 16:9 TFT
3. Feature Request: It would also be great to show 2 pages on screen (e.g. when using a 16:9 TFT) while keeping the original / intended viewing size for one page.
4. Feature Request/Bug: Reworking extended search. I think the real benefit and need of Calibre is to find books quickly. Working with the search and creating complex searching (with AND and OR) is not possible right now, because as soon as a tag is clicked the search string and arguments are re-sorted and the original logic gets broken. Think this can be avoided by restructuring some GUI elements in the advanced search. Maybe even introducing "categories" besides "tags" would be sth. to consider. Personally I like the advanced search of the eFiction archive software with include/exclude. Example:

5. Feature Request: I have save several stories I downloaded as HTML (and saved as MHT, single HTML archive), as with the nature of only stories they're usually splitted into parts and right now I have to create a book in Calibre for every part (I use the series plugin, nevertheless). However I think it would be great to have an option to include several parts in one book if automerge failed (which is the case for all HTML). Currently there is not even an error message that automerge failed, the initial book is just overwritten. Calibre could show a pop-up for multi-parts books then the user double-clicks on them. This could be interesting for all formats where automerge is not possible / useful.
As said I'm new to Calibre and some things may already be possible or have been discussed already. Please let me know. However, maybe someone is looking for new ideas
