And if Kobo also published a language file containing the original English text strings I'm sure that the community would pick it up very fast and translate the GUI in virtual every other existing Latin alphabeth based language. And when Kobo decides to officially support a language all they have to do is to check it and ad the appropriate warranty/copyright/etc. notices.Which is certainly much cheaper than a "full" translation.
An another benefit would be that errors/typos in existing translations would be fixed much quicker too. If fixed at all.
