That doesn't look too bad. I hate the night mode used by some iOS and Android apps because the dark area is too black and the text is too white resulting in my eyes seeing lines whenever I look away from the reader. In other words, the contrast is too great to be useful. But since eInk screens are more dark grey and light grey it might work without that effect.
