And with a Kindle you carry your library of bought Amazon books with you always. The use case of having thousands of books on the Kindle is probably nearly non-existent in real life. Yes, some people hare wants to do it but that is not enough to add a functionality that will confuse a lot of people and give a worse customer experience.
