I bought a textbook from Amazon (it was half the price on amazon than it was at my University bookstore) and I chose the Kindle version, I have an iPad and I got the app.
The problem is, the kindle app on my iPad 3 is really laggy. Flicking through many pages is laggy and and I end up with blank pages sometimes. Zooming in results in blurry text unless I wait for it to focus, and I want to be able to use the notability app I bought to annotate my book.
I downloaded Calibre and the plugin to for amazon books and I'm trying to convert the book, it was originally an azw file and I'm trying to convert it to pdf. It keeps getting stuck at 67% however. When I double click the progress bar it says

Is there anything I can do about this? I would really like my book to be in pdf
