I feel the same way. I have stumbled across books that show 34 or 44 pages for $3.99. I have no problem paying that but I am usually hoping for a bit more substance than that small amount of pages.

I now look at the page count before even reading the description. Anything under 100 pages or so I may not buy. I don't mind small novellas to bridge the gap between two larger novels, but to charge that amount and call it a "story", not acceptable to me.

P.S. I have nothing against short stories, read them all the time.
