The problem is they used a lot of light in the room to take this photo. I bet if you see it in a more typically lit room it won't looks as good. It does look like the white is better, but the blacks still look washed out. I don't think the Pearl to Carta screen improvement is going to be as pronounced as the pre-Pearl to Pearl was. The eInk advancements and improvements seem to have slowed down considerably. This many years after the eInk introduction one would think they would be much better by now than they are. Perhaps they have pushed eInk to the limit already.
