You could use Calibre to build Author Shelves and just select shelves, browse through for the author you want and then browse that shelf for a title.

If you follow the sticky guide at the top of the forum it's not hard to build shelves, though you may find yourself reading through the process more than once. If you want to build them by Author it's quick to sort by clicking the author column in Calibre, select all their books which would be grouped together and then edit the metadata for the whole selection by typing the Author's name into the shelf field once. Poof, Calibre changes the metadata for all of that author's titles and you go to the next one. You'd probably be done pretty quickly if you have a lot of titles per author. You can also do series and series indexes, a nice way to keep titles in the order you'll want to read them.
