Device: Kindle for PC
Kindle for PC archive

My first post here, let me try to be concise.

1) Bought a book on Amazon, routed it to my Kindle for PC.
2) Read the book on my Kindle for PC.
3) Wished I had never seen the book, and would rather nobody ever knew I had.
4) Removed from device on Kindle for PC.
4) Went to Manage my Kindle on Amazon site and Deleted it, as in if I ever want to read it again I have to buy it again.

BUT
5) On Kindle for PC the book appears under Archived Items. No amount of syncing changes that. Is there any way to get rid of it, short of de-registering Kindle for PC and starting over?

As part of this I have been trying to figure out where on the PC Amazon puts the information about Archived books. The only thing I found was the XML file KindleSyncMetadataCache.xml which included an entry for the book. I even edited that file and removed that section (carefully). Even after subsequent syncs there is no mention of it in that file, but it still appears in the Archive. (I found the picture of the cover under AppData\Local\Amazon\Kindle\Cache\covers, not that it got me anywhere.)

Thanks!
