In Duokan reader use the crop box and then turn to landscape if needed (for A4 pdf) or just use pinch zooming-in in whole-page-view(fit screen in portraite) + tapping/swiping for the next page (left or right direction) or pinch zooming-in in page-width-mode + scrolling/tapping for the next page (up or down direction).

After pinch zooming-in, zoom(cropping) level for the next page is always retained in Duokan reader but in fit-screen mode we should usually move the next page a few milimeters left or right (takes half a second) to center the page.

Usually I don't use croping box on iPad even if it is available in pdf reader because it just takes a fraction of second to pinch and zoom or double click the page (if available).
