To the display: I had the PRS 650, PRS T1 and PRS T2.
The PRS T2 had the best display of all. Its allmost white, and that without light. The other lighting reader i have seen, got such a screen just with light turned on, and then the fonts does get more grey than black.

And all in all, i prefer the PRS T2 (and T1) to the 650er. Its much more weight, and the PRS Ts are to me, not really less reliable. So while i compared T1 and 650, i sold my 650.

My T2 got damaged, so i have send it to the seller and got my money back. So i'm looking to get an T3 as an second reader. Or it be the first reader, and the T1 the second reader. I got found of the idea to have an second and backup reader.
I have no idea which system they switched from but I believe the T1 was the first Linux based Sony.

The error I most encounter on my T1 which may be gone from the T2 was the system needs to shut down the application when deleting books directly from the device. And the whirring arrows and the battery drainage (I think it is software related but could be wrong, and the double page turns when using buttons, never happened on my 350 or my 600.

I agree the T2 screen is a tad nicer, and I find most other things are fine. Much more stable than some, but not quite as stable as the 350 anyway. I assume the 650 is the same as the 350 software wise.

I did not buy a T2 because I was fine with a T1. I was fine with the 350 and the 600, but was given a T1 by my roommates for Christmas.

When I get back to civilization in October I will possibly buy a T3. (almost any excuse will do but unless the software is more stable, or the hardware is significantly better I will be taking it back and hoping for a future Sony product that I can justify.

It is not the price, but why get something if I don't personally don't think it is much better.
