That's just it, it didn't end on a cliffhanger like other books out there. It ended right after the beginning. It was like half a novella. It was like reading 5 chapters 120 pages for $3 just isn't worth it. I gave it 2 Stars. I thought the story was okay but some of her words just turned me off. It needed some serious rework as the some if it just didn't flow and there was hardly any believable chemistry between the couple. I was going to give it 3 stars then the ending happen and that bump it down to two stars for me.

So it's not the cliffhanger that bothers you so much as the size of the book? [or lack thereof

] !
I've done that too, bought a book and not paid attention to page counts and been startled by an abrupt ending, it all comes down to 'buyer beware' sometimes which sucks but very true with most things nowadays. I'm trying to be more fussy with my buys too.
BTW, you never told me how you liked 'Wethering the Storm'?
And, I finally read your recommended 'Escaping Reality' by Lisa Renee Jones and while it was good, it has a major, major cliffhanger and really very little romance, more suspense I thought, but still well done.

Hope the 2nd book is a good price too, IIRC we got those when they were $.99 right?
OH, ETA a great deal, for anyone who's following the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, Origin is $.97 at Diesel.
