That's a great point. I'm currently on Verizon and they charge about $50/mo last time I looked for even a slow data plan. Even worse, Verizon charges extravagent and outrageous prices when you go over your allocation. So don't even think about getting pay as you go, or a lower priced Verizon data plan (like the 10meg $25/mo plan) and going over the limit.

As a result, I'm dataplanless on my Verizon Treo. But I was hoping that I could get a 700p with the $15/mo Sprint unltd data plan, even if I have to forego high speed). Is that not going to be available with the 700p?

We're all going to be wanting to know a lot about the Sprint data plans when this 700p comes out! With the 650 a lot of us didn't do our homework and didn't quite end up with what we had hoped for because of the high data plan prices. Great device. Expensive data plans. So this is a really big issue for the consumer. It just ends up being ignored because it's hard to get real facts. It's hard enough figuring out the fees you'll be charged on a typical "free" cell phone!
