I'll go for a basic option as I think it's what the market needs

6" e ink touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 3
Powered by standard triple AAA's ideally.
Work with someone like Mantano for their epub reader software
Micro SD (I'd leave out internal storage altogether)
Micro-USB for accessing the SD card and firmware updates
