1. Free world-wide cell-phone network internet for text heavy web sites.
2. Email address you (and Readability.com) can send essays to so they automatically wind up on the device.
3. Compatible with Overdrive.
4. Reasonably priced good condition units available (used OK).
4. Screen virtually uncrackable.
Except for item 4 above, I already have the ideal unit, so no further design is necessary.
I suppose a slightly faster processor than what I have in the Kindle Keyboard would also be a plus, but then the battery would have to be heavier. And designing for sale at a lower price is always good.
