Google just slashed the prices of the
Nexus 4 by $100. The 8GB model is now $199 and the 16GB model is now $249. This phone is unlocked and pure Android. Its specs blow a similarly priced iPod touch 5 out of the water. At this price point, it'll make a great on-the-go media player (audiobooks, ebooks, music, videos, etc) for those of us who don't use smartphones.
