About spending money on an ereader...

I am prepared to spend lots of money on it. For me it is a very personal, intimate device. It holds the books I love dearly, an entire library of them and therefore it is totally worth it to me. Books are my life blood. They keep me going in my darkest hours. Some of them one might even call friends. And it is that emotion that is transferred to the ereader as well, but also to a beautiful piece of software called Calibre. I love working with it, maintaining my library like it is a beautiful garden.

Well, I am a Librarian and became one because of my love for books and their magic.
Because of all of this an ereader is much more important to me than anything else I can think of. I do not even own a mobile phone, to give you an example, and would not want to spend any money on such a device, but the perfect ereader, if such a thing existed, is of incredible value to me.

With the PRS-950 Sony came sooooooo close to perfection and I deplore the fact that they perhaps never even realized it as their newer models showed. In some ways the PRS-T3 was my last hope for Sony. I was hoping they would create something really wonderful, something outstanding, something victorious... and if they had done that I would have been prepared to pay big bugs for it. But the PRS-T3 has already betrayed its mediocrity and lack of vision. And with that I feel they in a way betrayed me as a customer.
