I haven't upgraded yet, but reading through the thread in the Calibre forum, I do not see anything about plugins not working. I'm sure many of the people who write/maintain the plugins were part of the extensive Beta testing on the new backend code (which other than the cover grid is the main feature/reason they jumped to the 1 designation). So unless you have some odd plugin that only a few people have, I would think they all work.
I did the plugboard thingy to send my books to my Sony in two extra collections (All Books by Author and All Books by Title). It made sense to me when I did it, but darn if I can make heads or tails of how I did it now
