Wouldn't have stopped me. As a very young kid I found my Mom's keychain. I put the car key in one slot and started to put the house key in the other ... when suddenly there was a fllash, a "POP" and I was kicked to the floor. Fortunately, the fuse blew before there was a fire ... also fortunately, for me, I survived.
For our kids I child proofed the sockets, not the plugs.
