Not exactly... There are a few different viewing options, one of which is "reflow mode" and the pdf appears then to behave as an epub would, with margin reduction. The default margins arent huge, but they also cannot be altered (that I have found, yet.) It also chops the dead space from margins, if you remain in pdf mode, eg if you have space at the side of the pdf page... its just an onscreen button press. But, if you have a pdf with huge margins, nope, no cropping unless you go to reflow.
