When discussing time travel, it seems to some that traveling backward in time is impossible. But one possibility that doesn't seem to be much discussed is the nature of time itself.

Is time a single line going forever in two directions? However, what if time is actually a loop? If that's the case, then traveling to the past could be a simple as moving forward until you reach to the point that is your destination (although it might be a very long trip).

In DC Comics Presents #1, they did a story where Superman and The Flash were racing through time to save life on Earth and on Krypton. At that time both characters were able to reach the speed of light and the rule in the DC Universe was that you couldn't break the speed of light because instead of traveling faster you start to travel through time. Both characters eventually reach the end of time itself and break through the barrier and end up at the beginning of time. They continue to travel forward and end up back when they started.

If the structure of time works this way, then one simple way to travel to the past is to simply freeze yourself, wait until the end of time, and breach the barrier to the beginning of time, wait until you reach your destination, and then be defrosted. However, this assumes that the beginning/end of time barrier can actually be breached. What if the beginning/end of time barrier is a universal constant and cannot be breached, much like the speed of light is now considered.
