Here is another perfectly logical reason to have two e-readers. Imagine that you want to replicate the functionality of a paper book but with e-reading technology. You're in the middle of reading two different books--say, one novel and one non-fiction work--but you want to bring yourself closer to the paper book experience. In this case the only electronic alternative is to have two e-readers.
