While you're at it why don't you write off Apple, Samsung, and Google? All 3 are pursuing the same strategy as Sony.

Sony isn't in the ereader game. They're not even in the ebook game. Instead Sony is interested in selling content on their smartphones and tablets - just like Apple and Samsung.
