I know it's not what you want to hear, but I have an android tablet with a 10.1" ~16:10 ratio display and it is much better at that sort of thing. Rotating it to landscape works great for reading frame by frame at a larger size if you need to do so. Plus it's in glorious color for those not restricting themselves to black and white fare. It's very close to the actual size of the comics I remember in portrait mode. I've tried it on an 8" 4:3 ratio tablet, and it's a little small for my taste in portrait mode, but landscape isn't too bad, and it's only about 12 ounces so doesn't get too heavy.
I tried for about a second on the Glo, and it just doesn't cut it for me. The 6" screen is just to restrictively small for that, and the software is no help at all. It's just not geared for bouncing the "zoom window" around on a larger image.
Do you really think you'll be able to get comfortable even on the Aura's large screen? I find the 8" tablet small, but functional, but mostly default to the 10.1" model despite it being a bit too heavy for a long read without frequently setting it down for a few seconds to reach for something else.
I have a nice 24" monitor at my office. I'm tempted to "sneak" a few on it just to see what they look like in double page view...

It's probably way too wide even displaying two pages side by side. I guess that means I could open another window for mobileread.
