When I was in elementary school, the school had a borrowing cap of two books at once. They had to put a cap of, IIRC, 4 books a day because of me and another kid. Yes, we were reading in class instead of listening to the teachers - evidently some of them took it personally.

Hey, it's not like the Hardy Boys and Tom Swift took a lot of brain power, but they were entertaining.
