Could it be the missing cover in the first version?

And then you have:

This is a different path, including the folder \graphics\.
So in version V6 the result is without cover, in version V8 it is with cover.

I think the merging of both formats causes the trouble. The results don't fit together and the combination of them fails.
Error(prcgen):E23028: Final mobi building failed.
Info(prcgen):I1038: MOBI file could not be generated because of errors!
